As the essential healthcare system for the nation’s third-largest county, Harris Health serves the public good with little fanfare and zero self-promotion. But ahead of a $2.5B bond measure for critical facility improvements, they needed to educate the public about their vitally important role in Greater Houston.

We teamed up with our longtime client on the first large-scale paid media campaign in their nearly 60-year history, making the name Harris Health synonymous with the health of Harris County.

Harris Health embraced this groundbreaking campaign as they finally got the opportunity to tell their story in a meaningful way in the public eye. Paired with bond education efforts as part of a multi-channel, multilingual media strategy, “We Live This” helped raise awareness and earn overwhelming support among residents, solidifying the future of public health in Greater Houston.

A legacy, lived


In a city famous for its healthcare infrastructure, Harris Health sees it all. Those who know Harris Health recognize their leadership in trauma, cardiology and stroke care. But for many in Houston, the system’s critical role—particularly in serving the county’s low-income underinsured and uninsured patients—is not fully understood.


Through primary research, we learned there was a real alignment between the values people admire about healthcare and what Harris Health employees valued most about being there. You don’t work at Harris Health to make headlines. You do it to make a difference for the ones who need it most. From the doctors who practice there, to the next generation of healthcare workers training under their wings, Harris Health can truly say, “We Live This.”
